About Anna

Anna Olswanger has been a literary agent at Liza Dawson Associates since 2005. She specializes in illustrated work, both fiction and nonfiction, for young readers and adults. She has sold to Balzer & Bray, Bloomsbury, Boyds Mills Press, Marshall Cavendish, Dutton, Greenwillow, McElderry, Pomegranate, and Random House Children's Books, among other publishers.

Anna also has a background in editing and worked with the author Mary Ann Schaffer on The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, which became an international bestseller.

In addition to being a literary agent, Anna is the author of Shlemiel Crooks, a Sydney Taylor Honor Book and a Koret International Jewish Book Award Finalist.

For seven years she coordinated the Jewish Children's Book Writers' Conference at the 92nd Street Y, and in 2007, launched the website www.Host-a-Jewish-Book-Author.com, now owned by the Center for Jewish Culture and Creativity. Anna's website is www.olswanger.com.
